I have loved Nell for many years. She was my Sunday School teacher when I was a young girl and we all loved her. Then when I was an adult ,I always enjoyed being around her. She was sweet, honest, and had such a good sense of humor. She will be missed by many. She was one of the great ladies of our community.

I was saddened to hear of Nell's passing. She lived at Garden Estates of Tyler for almost 5 years. She was always very kind and had many friends. She will be missed by everyone at the community. We will remember her and her loved ones in our prayers.

I worked with Nell for 5 years at the hospital. She always made my day because she made me laugh. She had the driest sense of humor of anyone I ever met. We will miss her.

Nell was a sweet lady and when we, as classmates of Sue's, visited in her home, we were always greeted with warmth and a smile. I know she will be greatly missed by all of her family, former neighbors and friends.

Another great parent of one my classmates has passed. I was fortunate to grow up in Floydada, Texas in a school class where parents and teachers saw our class as special and mentored us as that. Nell McClung was parent of Sue McClung Higgenbotham, my sweet and good classmate. Nell was a good friend to my parents and to all the parents of my classmates. She is just one of the quality life guides that was available to me and my classmates. We are thankful now and for years took these wonderful humans for granted.
