Felicitas "Maria" Ascencio, age 66, of Floydada, passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Floydada with Father Ike Temporanza officiating. Interment will follow at Floydada Cemetery. Rosary will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Felicitas "Maria" Ascencio was born May 18, 1950 to Jose Martinez and Victoria Rodriguez. She was born in Guadalajara Jal. Mexico. Maria was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Maria leaves behind a sister; Elena Martinez Rodriguez. Her loving husband of 51 years; Raul Ascencio, seven children; Manuel Ascencio of Lockney, Martin Ascencio and daughter-in-law, Laura Ascencio of Floydada, Raul Jr Ascencio and daughter-in-law, Dianah Ascencio from Lubbock, Maria Gonzalez and son-in-law, Jose Gonzalez from Petersburg, Alma Ascencio and son-in-law, Alberto Lopez of Petersburg, Cristina Hernandez and son-in-law, Eddie Hernandez of Big Lake, Texas, and Alonso Ascencio of Floydada, grandchildren; Ashley Bland and grandson-in-law, T.J. Bland, Bryan Ascencio, Anthony Ascencio and granddaughter-in-law, Crystal Ascencio, Sarah Ascencio, Beth Ascencio, Abby Gonzalez, Adrian Gonzalez, Adian Gonzalez, Scottie Chavarria, Aimee Chavarria, Taylor Chavarria, Addison Lopez, Averii Lopez, Isaac Hernandez, Victoria Bednar and grandson-in-law, Pearson Bednar, and great grandchildren; Michael Martinez, Chase Bland, Jada Ascencio, and Little Grayson Bednar.
