Jack Trueman Gibson, age 81, of Lockney, passed away, Friday, September 16, 2016. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the West College and 3rd Church of Christ in Lockney. Interment to follow at the Lockney Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.

Jack Gibson was born August 6, 1935 in Sagerton, Texas to S. A. Jr. and Essie B. Gibson. He went to be with the Lord September 16, 2016 at 81 years of age. Jack was a member of the Lockney community for 59 years. He was employed by the Lockney Co-op for 42 years, serving as a ginner and supervisor of the gin and elevator. Jack has been a member of the West College & 3rd Street Church of Christ for 59 years, serving as a Deacon for almost 50 years. Jack will be long remembered by his family and a host of friends in Lockney and the surrounding area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

Jack is survived by his wife Myrtie, 3 sons, Carl, Sidney, and Dale, 1 daughter, Inez, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Horace.
