Manuel Aguilar, age 75, passed away, Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in Silverton with Monsignor Arturo Mesa officiating. Interment will follow at the Silverton Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Our Lady of Loreto in Silverton. Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Moore-Rose Visitation Parlor in Silverton. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.Manuel Aguilar, age 75, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Manuel was born in Karnes City, Tx on December 10, 1940 to Sixto Aguilar and Eva Davila. Throughout Manuel's 75 years on earth he was a man of many traits. He was a farm hand, cotton ginner, operator of his own small tire business, auto mechanic, and lawn mower repair. Manuel was a member of the Silverton Young Farmer's Association, helped in the construction of Lake Makenzie, as well as being a member of his church Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Silverton, TX and Saint Leo's Catholic Church in San Antonio, TX. Through the work of God Manuel Aguilar and Olivia Maciel were married in Karnes City, TX and later moved to Silverton, TX where they raised their family. After God called Olivia home in 1990, Manuel continued his adventure in life by living in Plainview, Beeville, Lockney, and finally San Antonio, TX where he was among his siblings.
Manuel leaves behind his children, Gavino Aguilar, Senaida Aguilar, Erma Reyna, Angelita Magallanes, Guadalupe Hernandez; as well as twelve grandkids, eleven great grandkids, and 1 great great grandson.
