Melba Gilliahan, age 85, passed away, Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Silverton with GJ Walton officiating. Interment to follow at the Silverton Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service at 9:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Silverton. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.

As much as she loved her family, she loved and served her Savior Jesus Christ the most. She seldom missed going to church and taught children's Sunday School Class for many years. On Monday she told one of her friends that she was "going home" the next day. On Tuesday morning, August 2, 2016, she quietly went home to be with Jesus for eternity.

She is preceded in death by her husband's; A.J. Haney, Carl Cafferty, John Gillihan and her parents.

She is survived by her sisters; Valda Jo Ferguson of De Queen, AR and Doris Ann McDonald of Idalou, Texas, a brother, Garvis Dewey Estes, Jr. of Silverton, nephews; Gary, Roy, Johnny and Charles Ferguson, Jim, Ross, and Lorn Estes, nieces; Annessa McDonald Hays and Amy McDonald Sandjideh, and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews and cousins.
